ToastyMann

I go by ToastyMann. My real name is Joe, so call me whichever you see fit. I make YouTube Videos, mostly gaming-related, but I'm looking to dabble in other types of content as well. I'm mostly active on Twitter and Discord, and I have tried other apps like Instagram and TikTok, but they've never gripped me, and even though I've had a Reddit account for years, I practically never use it anymore.I'm not gonna sit here and try to sell my YouTube channel because I'm not a degenerate narcissist who shoves his content down everyone's throat. I say give it a watch if you care, honestly. Making YouTube videos is a lot of fun for me, because it feels good to create something you can call your own, and I'm not exactly an artist or musician. I give my opinions on games I either like or dislike while trying to make people laugh along the way. Unoriginal, I know, but what the fuck, it's fun. If you put your own flavor and sense of humor into it, it'll find an audience eventually. The first video I made as an actual review for my current channel was actually all the way back in 2020, but it didn't age the greatest so I did a re-review of the game in question (SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom) over two years later to bring it up to speed with my current standard of quality, and to put out my most recent opinions on it. I didn't make another full-on video until 2022 when I made "Klonoa for the Wii is a bad remake".It definitely shows its age in comparison to the videos I put out later on, but it's probably the most important video I've ever made. I'm still very happy with it as I managed to make a splash in the Klonoa fandom at the time, and it got me to make more videos and improve my craft. I still find it bizarre how my video basically changed the discourse surrounding the Wii remake from the oddball in the franchise, to a VERY divisive interpretation of Door to Phantomile.I usually like to think I'm a laid back kind of guy, and even when I occasionally rant in a video or yell in a Discord call, it's usually all fun and games and not anything worth fighting someone over. Even if I truly believe the words I say, it's not that deep, I gotta make that abundantly clear apparently, since SOME people take opinions about vidya as seriously as a fucking national emergency. I'm a big fan of physical media (mainly movies and games) and advocate for game preservation. I'm mostly a video game fan, but I also enjoy movies, music, shitposting, or the odd TV show here and there. However a majority of my entertainment comes from YouTube.I prefer user-created content like YouTube because it's not being filtered by a big corporation or politician trying to push an agenda or sell a product. It's content that comes from the soul, something you rarely see in mainstream entertainment anymore. On YouTube, you see people (or at least the RIGHT people if you can find them) speak their genuine thoughts, and I value that a hell of a lot more than corporate slop designed to show you ads 24/7.My online activity has been far more vocal and outgoing for the past few years despite always being more passive and introverted in person. Twitter is the place where I tend to be active the most online alongside Discord, but if you're looking to give me a follow, just know that I'm fairly unfiltered with my opinions and my likes are publicly NSFW (VERY non-vanilla), so follow at your own risk. If you have that much of a problem with a grown man enjoying porn, sorry but not sorry.I never want to drive anybody away from me with minor disagreements on certain topics or a spicy likes tab, so hopefully we can just agree to disagree and make peace regardless. I prefer to be in the mindset of "live and let live", as I have much more important things to worry about than the opinions and lifestyle of strangers, so long as it's legal of course. Be yourself, live how you want to live, and enjoy it. Even if I tend to debate some of those aspects, I'm not one to force my own beliefs onto someone else. Debating is good for you, but not to the point of hostility. That's all I really have to put here, though. If you want to know more, you can hit me up on Discord or Twitter if you want. I'm open to accepting DMs so don't be afraid to ask about a potential video request or whatever you see fit. There is stuff I refuse to answer obviously, but if it's fair game, I'll spill the beans.
